At 3:15 p.m., officers responded to the Lululemon at Closter Plaza on a report of a shoplifting, Closter police said. The store manager said two men wearing black hoodies went to separate areas of the store pretending to browse around, police said.
Once store employees turned their back toward them, they grabbed multiple men's clothing items displayed on the table closest to the entrance of the store and ran out with the items, police said. The two men stole $4,122 in merchandise, police said.
The men fled the area in a Black Audi Q5 bearing a Minnesota registration license plate, police said. The vehicle was last seen going over the George Washington Bridge into New York City at 3:20 pm, police said.
